Ranchi: The state govt effected a major reshuffle of its IPS cadre, transferring and giving new appointments to 30 officers, a notification said.It has relieved the Director General of Police, Anurag Gupta, from the responsibility of Director General (DG) Criminal Investigation Department (CID) while appointing new SSP, city SP and traffic SP in Ranchi.The home, prison and disaster management department on Thursday issued a notification stating that south Chhotanagpur IG Manoj Kaushik would be in-charge of IG CID.The state govt has appointed IPS officer Rakesh Ranjan as the new SSP of Ranchi. Ranjan has assumed charge from previous SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha who has been posted as deputy inspector general (DIG) anti-corruption bureau (ACB).ASP (operation) Chaibasa, Paras Rana, has taken over as SP Ranchi. The previous city SP Ajit Kumar has been posted as SP rail. ASP (operation) Palamu, Rakesh Singh, has been posted as SP traffic, Ranchi.Several other senior IPS officers have been either transferred or given new tasks. DG communication and technical services, Prashant Singh, has been given additional charge of DG police headquarters. Additional director general (ADG) Suman Gupta who was awaiting posting has been appointed as ADG Rail.ADG Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP), Priya Dubey, has been transferred as ADG ACB. She would also be in-charge of JAP and training and modernisation. Bokaro IG Kranti Kumar Gadideshi has been posted as IG human rights, IG human rights Narendra Kumar Singh as IG vigilance and security, Jharkhand electricity board, IG Dumka Shailendra Kumar Sinha as IG Palmau and IG CID Sudarshan Prasad Mandal as IG headquarters. Mandal would have additional charge of prison department.IG Palamu, Sunil Bhaksar, has been posted as IG Bokaro, IG provision Patel Mayur Kanhaiyya has been given additional charge of IG Dumka.DIG ACB Sanjeev Kumar has been transferred as DIG special branch, while DIG special branch Shailendra Prasad Barnwal has been posted as DIG ACB. DIG intelligence Chhauthe Manoj Ratan has been appointed as DIG special branch while DIG Palamu Naushad Alam has been asked to report to police headquarters.SP operation Amit Renu has been posted as SP Chaibasa, commandant JAP 10 Saurav has been appointed as SP Deoghar.
